Our expertise and intensive training in reconstruction enable us to regard the challenge of cosmetic smile improvement as a normal, everyday activity. After the initial consultation, we can start planning the enhancement of not only the smile, but the whole face as well – to come up with a result that our client will truly be happy about.
Focus on Cosmetic Dental and Facial Enhancement
Beauty is defined by the Merriam Webster dictionary as, “the quality or aggregate of qualities in a person or thing that gives pleasure to the senses or pleasurably exalts the mind or spirit”. According to Wikipedia, beauty is “studied as part of aesthetics, sociology, social psychology, and culture”. The very definition of beauty is what we are focused on, and what we aim for, in every single cosmetic dental and facial enhancement treatment.
The basic concepts of beauty play a significant role in the creation of a beautiful smile. The goal is to create a smile that blends in flawless balance with the rest of the facial features, creating an art form that we are highly-trained to produce on a regular basis.
The various aspects of your smile will be analysed in great detail, to ensure that this highly-visible part of your face gets the enhancement it truly deserves. Your aims and goals will also be taken into serious consideration within the planning and assessment stage, so the end-result of the improvements will cater to your specific requirements.
Cutting-edge technology will aid us in helping you get the smile you want, and will also help us in guiding you towards the features you wish to improve on. Visual representations will help you get a clearer view of what the end-result will be, and will help you fully understand how the treatment process will go – even before we actually begin with any cosmetic dentistry step.
The Creation of a Naturally Great-Looking Smile
Stage 1: Cosmetic Dental Implant Assessment and Consultation
The assessment and consultation stage will include a thorough examination of your teeth, gums, and whole face, which may include taking X-rays for more detailed evaluations. Any dental hygiene treatment or dental work that needs to be done will be carried out prior to the actual cosmetic dental implant procedure. High-resolution digital images of your smile will be taken, and then processed to come up with two or three different smile designs – which are all completed using digital computerised software. As soon as you reach a decision on which smile design you prefer, we can move forward on to the next stage of the whole cosmetic dental implant treatment.
Stage 2: Construction of 3D Model
An actual-sized 3D model of how your new teeth would look like will be constructed; this model will include jaw movements that accurately replicate how your jaw will move in reality. The construction of this 3D model will enable the ceramicist to create the final teeth that will move in harmony with the movement of the jaw.
Stage 3: Taking Impressions of Dental Implants and Creation of Ceramic Teeth
On the day the implants are placed, temporary teeth made of acrylic will be placed and any minor adjustments can be made. The temporary teeth are created based on the impressions previously taken to aid in the 3D construction, and will help you visualize what your final teeth will look like – before the finalised ceramic teeth are ordered and created.
When you decide that you are happy with the temporary teeth’s colour, shape, size, and how they look with your overall smile – accurate impressions will be taken to pave the way for the creation of the final teeth, made from ceramics.
Stage 4: Try-in Appointment to Check the Fit
A try-in appointment will be scheduled to give you a chance to try on the final teeth restorations – to check how accurately and comfortably they fit. Any necessary adjustments on the ceramic or the bite will be made in the laboratory to ensure a perfect fit.
Stage 5: Final Fitting
Once the teeth restorations are deemed to have an accurate fit, the final ceramics are fitted – and you can start enjoying your brand-new, much-improved smile!
